Special Equipment from France for Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants
INTEGRITES has supported Wärtsilä’s France-based Special Applications unit throughout the development of the bidding strategy, participation in two tenders as well as direct negotiations with the State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom (Ukraine) for the procurement of replacements to the safety backup of nuclear power plant worth over EUR 2 million.
Wärtsilä’s agreement with Energoatom required input from the contract law, IP law and public procurement law teams. The equipment produced, delivered, and commissioned will enable safe functioning of the critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
The matter reached its close in February 2022. Supervised and led by Dr. Oleh Zahnitko, banking and finance partner at INTEGRITES, the firm’s team working on the matter included Yurii Korchev, senior associate, banking and finance; Daryna Vasylieva, senior associate, IP; and lawyers of the antitrust and competition team.
